Privacy policy

When you make an account

• Your email address and a username.
• Your password, stored scrambled. We can't read it.
• If you sign in with Google or Reddit: your name, email address and profile picture from that service. We never see your Google or Reddit password.

What you add yourself

• Your profile: display name, bio, picture and favourite genres.
• Your activity: watchlist, lists, the dramas you're watching and the episode you're on, ratings, reviews, likes, and who you follow.
• Feedback you send through the Feedback button, the page you sent it from, and your email address if you choose to give it.

Collected automatically

• When you sign in we record your IP address and browser type with your session, so we can keep you signed in and spot misuse.
• Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs.

We don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.

• Public: your username, display name, bio, picture, favourite genres, top five, public lists, ratings and reviews.
• "Currently bingeing" is public unless you hide it on your profile.
• Private: your email address, your watchlist, and any list you set to private.

• Running your account and showing your profile, lists and reviews.
• Sending account emails: a code when you sign up and a link when you reset your password. We don't send marketing email.
• Keeping the site secure and fixing problems.

We set one kind of cookie: the one that keeps you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

We don't sell your data. These services help us run Vertizee and handle data on our behalf:

• Vercel: hosting, and storage for uploaded pictures.
• Neon: our database.
• Resend: sending account emails.
• Google and Reddit: only if you choose to sign in with them.

Some of these store data outside your country, including in the United States.

"Watch" buttons take you to the platform that streams the drama. Those links tell the platform you came from Vertizee. They don't include anything about you. What the platform collects once you're there is covered by its own policy.

• Your account data stays until you delete your account.
• Deleting your account (Settings, then Delete account) removes your profile, lists, watchlist, ratings, reviews, likes and uploaded pictures straight away.
• Feedback you sent is kept, but is no longer linked to your account. If you typed an email address into it, that stays with the message. Ask us if you want it removed.
• Backups and server logs can hold data for up to [number] days longer.

• Edit your profile, or hide "Currently bingeing", on your profile page.
• Change your password or delete your account in Settings.
• Ask for a copy of your data, or for a correction, by emailing [contact email]. Depending on where you live, you may have further legal rights, such as objecting to how we use your data or complaining to your data protection authority.

Vertizee is for people aged [13 / 16 / 18] and over. Some dramas listed have mature themes.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and say so on the site.
